About Us

cgCommerce was started in 2007 to develop an online ordering system for a local independent coffee shop. Soon other local independent restaurants were wanting to use our system.

In 2008, the original online ordering system went live with several local restaurants using Platform 1.

In 2009, Common Grounds Technologies, Inc. was spun off into a seperate company from the original coffee shop. Mobile ordering and many other new features were added to create Platform 2, which is the version currently being used.

In 2010, Common Grounds Technologies, Inc. formed a joint venture with Suite Business Software to create and bring SuitePOS to market. SuitePOS is our custom developed Point-of-Sale Solution. Not only does this system directly integrate with cgCommerce, it also connects to NetSuite ERP creating a single system that can handle multiple locations from online ordering, to POS, to Accounting needs all on one platform
